June Montgomery

June C. Montgomery, an honor graduate of Florida State University, has taught private piano lessons for more than 20 years and elementary school music for six years. While teaching at the elementary level, she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was named an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America.

In addition to writing many piano solos for Alfred Publishing Company, Ms. Montgomery has written numerous books, including the FUNdamental Musicianship Skills series, the Piano Camp series and Theory Through the Year for Alfred's Basic Piano Library. She co-authored the Meet the Great Composers books with Maurice Hinson and collaborated with Martha Mier on the Musical Concepts series for Alfred's Basic Piano Library.

June has been a clinician at district and state conventions in Florida, the Glover International Workshop in Virginia, and at the Music Teachers National Association conventions. She has been active in the Presbyterian Church as a pianist and director of children's choirs. June is also the carillonneur at the Stephen Foster Memorial.
